URBANA, IL—Mark Shelden, Champaign County Clerk announces that a Voter Registrar will beavailable at the following community events during the month of June: Sat, June 2 8am-11am Farmer’s Market, Lincoln Square, Urbana Wed, June 13 6:30pm-8pm Concert in the Park at Mullikin Park, Champaign Fri, June 15 10am-2pm East Central IL Low Vision Fair, Lincoln Square, Urbana Sat, June 16 8am-11am Farmer’s Market, Lincoln Square, Urbana 4pm-7pm Strawberry Jam, Meadowbrook Park, Urbana Fri, June 22 5pm-8pm Taste of Champaign-Urbana, Westside Park, Champaign Sat, June 23 11am-8pm Taste of Champaign-Urbana, Westside Park, Champaign Sun, June 24 12n-5pm Taste of Champaign-Urbana, Westside Park, Champaign
Wed, June 27 6:30pm-8pm Concert in the Park at Beardsley Park, Champaign In order to register to vote, a person must be a United States Citizen, 18 years of age on or before the next election and a permanent resident in his or her precinct for thirty (30) days prior to the election. Two forms of identification are required, one of which must show your permanent residence in Champaign County.
Mr. Shelden urges all permanent residents of Champaign County to take advantage of this opportunity to register to vote. If you cannot make the registration event, please feel free to come to the County Clerk’s Office at 1776 E Washington, Urbana, between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday or call 384-3724.
