Close of Voter Registration
Urbana, IL – Mark Shelden, Champaign County Clerk announced the Champaign
County Clerk’s office at 1776 E. Washington St., Urbana, will be open Saturday,
January 27, 2007 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon and on Tuesday, January 30, 2007
until 5:00 p.m. for voter registration and change of address. Persons wishing to
register may do so at those special times or during regular office hours, Monday-
Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please enter through the Northeast doors of the
Brookens Center.
In order to register you must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or
older on the date of the election, and have lived in the Election Precinct for 30
days prior to the election. Two forms of identification are required as well. Both
must show your name and one must show your permanent residence in
Champaign County.
Mark Shelden encourages every eligible citizen to register to vote.
