Election Judge Schools Provide Opportunity for Community Service - 2/17/2006
Champaign County Clerk Mark Shelden announced the start of election judge schools for the upcoming General Primary Election, March 21, 2006. “Being an election judge is an enjoyable and worthwhile public service,” said Shelden. Champaign County will be introducing new Optical Scan Voting Equipment at this election, therefore all judges must attend. Training schools will be held at Lincoln Square in Urbana and a reservation is required to attend. Trained election judges make $90 for working Election Day. Anyone interested in attending election judge school should first contact the County Clerk’s office at 384-3724 for more information.
