County Clerk Announces Close of Voter Registration - 1/20/2005
Urbana, IL-Mark Shelden, Champaign County Clerk announces the close of voter registration for the February 22, 2005 Consolidated Primary Election. Tuesday, January 25, 2005 will be the last day a resident of Champaign County living in all of Cunningham Township in the City of Urbana and in Council Districts 1 and 3 in the City of Champaign can register to vote in the Consolidated Primary Election.
The Champaign County Clerk’s Office at 1776 E. Washington, Urbana will be open on Tuesday, January 25th until 5pm for voter registration and change of address. Persons wishing to register may do so at those special times or during regular office hours, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Please enter through the North East doors of the Brookens Center.
In order to register you must be 18 years or older on the date of the election, a citizen of the United States and have lived in the Election Precinct for 30 days prior to the election. Two forms of identification are required as well, one showing your permanent residence in Champaign County.
Mark Shelden encourages every eligible citizen to register to vote.
