Upcoming Election Announcements - 3/04/2004
URBANA, IL– Champaign County Clerk Mark Shelden announced that absentee voting for the upcoming General Primary Election will close on March 15, 2004. “We encourage anyone who will be out of town on election day to make every effort to vote absentee at the Clerk’s Office,” said Shelden. The County Clerk’s office is located at 1776 E. Washington in Urbana.
Shelden said that his office will have additional hours for absentee voting on Saturday, March 13th from 9:00am - 12:00 noon and on Monday, March 15th until 5:00pm. Regular office hours are from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
The County Clerk’s Office will be closed for regular business on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 in order to conduct the election.
